To install the CPNMouse driver, you must follow the section for the correct operating system.
If you have any problems, please check this document for help.
Windows 2000
To install the driver:
All your input devices must be working under Windows (i.e. the device should not be disabled and a driver should be installed etc. -- basically you should be able to controll the mouse cursor by moving all your input devices).
You must be Administrator.
Select "System" from the control panel.
Select the "Hardware" tab.
Click "Device Manager".
Expand the "Mice and other pointing devices"-tree.
Double-click on the desired input device.
Select the "Driver" tab.
Click "Update Driver".
Click "Next".
Depending on the type of input-device, select the proper subsection below.
PS/2
Make sure "Display a list of known drivers..." is selected.
Click "Next".
Click "Have Disk".
Select the correct location (This is typically C:\Program Files\CPN Tools\Mouse driver).
Click "Ok".
Select "CPN Tools mouse filter driver PS/2".
Click "Next".
Click "Yes".
Click "Next".
Click "Yes".
Click "Finish" and you're done.
Serial/USB
Make sure "Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended)" is selected.
Click "Next".
Make sure "Specify a location" is the only option selected.
Enter the correct location for the driver files (This is typically C:\Program Files\CPN Tools\Mouse driver).
Click "Ok".
If Windows finds a "CPN Tools mouse filter driver" device, simply click "Next", then "Yes", "Finish", and you're done.
Otherwise, select "Install one of the other drivers".
Click "Next".
Click "Yes"
Select the "CPN Tools mouse filter driver". If this is not available, FIXME: What to do here.
Click "Next".
Click "Finish", and you're done.
